Scar from laser mole removal

Hi all, just looking for some advice really.

I had three moles removed via laser privately 10 months ago at a CQC standard clinic.

The two on my neck have healed very well, but the one on my cheek hasn’t. It’s still very red and noticeable and causing a lot of anxiety and depression.

It’s possible that due to ingrown hairs I get on the cheek, that through some particularly nasty ones it has delayed the healing. I’m now in the process of laser hair removal, and seeing a noticeable difference in the thickness of the hairs and ingrowns, but the redness from the scar remains.

I’m currently looking at my options. I’ve used silicone gels and sheets and they don’t seem to be having any effect. Has anyone had any success with pulsed dye lasers on similar scars to try and fade some of the redness? I can’t keep going like this.

Hi tensionsheet and welcome to the Changing Faces community. Thank you for posting and sharing about your situation. I hear that you feel concerned about the healing process of a scar following laser treatment some time ago. I understand that you have tried some treatment options but feel unhappy with the appearance of the scar on your cheek. This sounds difficult for you. We would recommend speaking to your GP about all medical enquiries, as they would be in a better position to advise you of suitable treatment options. Please feel free to continue to use this community to connect and share your thoughts with others.Take Care, Caroline - Changing Faces

Thank you. The GP hasn’t really been too helpful, so I’ve had to book a private consultation with a specialist. Hoping I can get some good answers from them.
