This is a terrible photo but I feel I need to ask, as u can see one side of my jaw is more prominent than the other when I take a pic with the front cam facing upwards. my face appears asymmetric when I use the back cam. is this facial asymmetric or something different And should I be concerned

Hi Pezza09,

If you're concerned, we'd always suggest you speak with your GP or another healthcare professional, as we're not able to give medical advice on this forum.

I would say, though, that almost every single person has some degree of facial asymmetry. Very few people are totally symmetrical, and studies have actually shown that humans can find 'perfect' facial symmetry to be a little strange and off-putting! Asymmetry is normal.

On top of this, cameras don't always provide reliable indicators of the way you 'really' look. Here are two pretty in-depth articles explaining some of the tricks both front and back cameras can play:

oohstloustudios.com/the-sci...

I hope this is helpful, but as I said, if this is causing you a lot of worry we'd encourage you to speak to your GP.

Hard to tell it would be better to have a picture straight from the front while lifting your head up. But to me it seems fine. Kind regards
