20 women with common skin conditions go make-up free for new photography exhibition

We recently posted some photos of women with skin conditions on our social media channels which got a big reaction from the community. They’re from a photography exhibition called Epidermis by the photographer Sophie Harris-Taylor and show 20 women with common skin conditions such as acne. The photo series is designed to help women with acne break down the stigma of living with a skin condition.

You can see more about the exhibition at instagram.com/p/B2CFvcGg4NS/

I'd be interested to know what members of the forum think of these photos. Let us know in the comments below.

Such lovely photos. Isn't it a disgrace on society that there should be a stigma around living with a condition that is just a natural part of human existence?! Well done to Sophie Harris-Taylor and her intrepid participants!

Beautiful!

This is going to sound horrible but these women can easily hide their skin issues with some makeup and they'd look like everyone, including models. I don't think they could know what it's like to actually have your face disfigured. i.e. not fixable with makeup.

Sorry, but I'm at a very bitter stage right now.
