Yes I always hate being in bright light feel as if it makes my scar more visible to ppl which makes my self confidence drop I always try turning the left side of my face away from ppl as most of the time in conversations I can see their ayes getting drawn to looking at my scar

Try to engage people in eye contact when they talk to you & not focus on the fact that you feel they are looking at your scar. Genuine & caring people will take the time to look at you & not be interested in any feature other than your personality. These are the people that really matter in life, the others are merely passing through 😊

It’s a horrible feeling isn’t it! Why can’t the whole world just be good lighting for us please haha. I’m actually sat on the right side of the train today, meaning my scar on my left side is all on show to everyone :) and you know what, I don’t care. If people are bothered by something that isn’t even theirs then let them be, sucks to be them.

Greetings Chrisp82; First of all, I know where you come from. Just let me tell you something. I dont know what is the reason why your scar looks weird/ugly under certain lights, but i had a facial scar too in the past and had the same exact issue. Certain spots near my scar would look like bumps under certain lights, and well , i never liked it. Until i learnt what it was from an online video, and once ready, i talked about it to a surgeon, and he fixed the issue in 2014, and since then im much more confident . theres no more 'bump' next to my scar.

So i dont know what to tell you, but maybe theres hope. maybe your condition can be improved by a small fix from a surgeon and it will look all fine.

best of luck,
