Dear SallySue, I’m sorry things are really hard for you! I care for my mum who has Parkinson’s and I’m sure she’d understand lots of what you’re feeling.
My mum has had Parkinson’s for about 10 years and was doing really well, until she unfortunately fell and broke her hip a year ago. That’s kind of changed everything a lot.
Do you have any help at all? Or a support network of people around you?
Yes I have a cleaning lady once a week and a dear friend who lives close who cooks for me and takes me anywhere I need to go. I’m pretty much house bound since Covid started but I think I am quite happy with it. I know I don’t eat as I should and not being social anymore I don’t keep my life as neat and tidy as I once did. But I don’t really care about that anymore. I seem to fall a lot but so far nothing has broken ( knock on wood!!) but once I do I’m sure I will go to assisted living and I don’t want that!!!
Thank you for responding to my post I wish you well.
