Football game

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok and the weather isn't getting you down ( rain ) like it is up North . Anyway is everyone going to be watching England v Ukraine football tonight hoping our lads can put a smile back on our faces and give us something to cheer about , I really hope so. Clive X 🤗

me too neither. heard nothing else but football for weeks .!!!!there are an awful lot of us who find sport boringI'm afraid and the horrible abuse and behaviour of so many of the fans makes me ashamed of them.

I am delighted for all the fans FredaE, and I was really pleased for England's success last night, but I have to come out in sympathy with you at the way in which football has taken over the entire country for the past few weeks. As someone who hates televised sport of any kind, it's really too bad that all the major terrestrial channels are allowed to monopolise sport broadcasting (and particularly football). Sorry Wimbledon fans but that includes you too. I'd rather watch paint dry. And I'm afraid that I'm not appeased by the showing of lame soap operas as the panacea for too much sports broadcasting either. Thank goodness there are alternates available online and through streaming services.

i was having a bad day yesterday so not being tactful.

I am pleased for the team.

I am delighted for everyone who is happy about the result

but i really cannot stomach those of the "fans" who boo the opponents national anthems, boo small girls crying if their team is in trouble and rampage round the streets frightening people and generally being a disgrace to the country. maybe the decent fans could do something to show them this is not acceptable
