Hi everyone and welcome to Feel Good Friday. How has your week been? We would like to hear about your week, the positive and not so positive things. We would like for you to share it with us on this supportive community. Our baby grandson is 5 months old today. Where has all the time gone? He is at his music class now which he enjoys very much. Please share your news with us. We are listening. I have found an inspirational quote for the week. I hope you all like this--
"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." [Jimmy Dean].
Have a good week everyone,
Best wishes to you all,
MAS Nurse and Moderator.

Hi MAS_Nurse, not a great week for Pete and I. He has a chest infection and I have a cold. We’re both slowly improving thank goodness but Pete came close to being admitted to hospital.
How wonderful to hear that your baby grandson is 5 months old already. How time flies.
Good wishes to everyone on this caring forum and hoping for a peaceful weekend for all. Xxxxx
I envy you your Grandson, I can't see me getting any.
Will keep you Husband in my thoughts sassy59.
Good news and not so good news for me this week, I have been signed off physio today, I have a frozen shoulder which is still a bit stiff but not painful now thank goodness.
My DS passed his driving test last Friday, first time of trying! he promptly went out and brought a car so I was looking forward to him being our taxi - but he also brought us one as well!! Not new cars but good enough for us, he is such a good Son I am so proud of him and very grateful too.
Mike tho has an infection in both legs and has been told he will need a new kneecap. Trying to get him to go to the Doctor is bad enough, getting him into hospital will be like climbing Everest on a bicycle.
Hi Babs103, How lovely of your son to do that and congratulations to him on passing his test first time! That's quite an achievement these days. As you say, you're a very lucky lady to have him. Good luck with succeeding in getting Mike to have the help he needs with his legs and kneecaps. I know how challenging that can be sometimes with those people who hate anything related to doctors and hospitals.
Hi MAS_Nurse, Here we are again; survivors of another week of what's sure to have been some ups and downs. Life's like this week's weather; changing in an instant from warm and comfortable to cold and uninviting, so it's good to take on board your inspirational quote and be ready to set your sails for whatever tries to blow us off course. In a similar vein I like Jon Kabat-Zinn's, "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf".
Happily my week's been on an even keel with only a handful of the sort of annoyances that frustrate us all. For example, I very recently switched energy companies, and this week received an email from my new company asking why I had decided to leave them! Inefficiency is one of those things I really should learn to surf over, but I keep falling off my surfboard and get really aggravated about. But I do know it's a very minor blip in life when compared against the stresses and strains which carers deal with every day.
Happy to hear that your grandson is doing so well. Five months is such an adorable age and I'm sure you enjoy every moment you have with him.
Have a good weekend everyone and hope you can all manage to set your sails, and surf those waves.
