Hi everyone and I hope you've had at least a half decent week!
Mine's been quiet but I did get to see a new area in the vicinity of where I live on a drive out on an errand earlier in the week. It was a glorious day and I loved being away from my usual mid city chaos and out in the leafy suburbs.
Concerning out.... I have a holiday coming up next week. It should have been a little more exotic than it is. We were booked to go to Montenegro for a gullet boat cruise along the coast, but instead we are going to....... tada......... Warwick!
Not quite as exotic as hoped but that's in line with so many of us in these troubled times and I'm just treating it as another adventure. I'll be with my husband, daughter and granddaughter and we always have fantastic fun wherever we end up. Holidays in UK are often underrated in my opinion. Sure we have to factor in the capricious weather but I've had some fantastic times wherever I've chosen to stay in past years.
We'd planned to be right in the heart of the Cotswolds, but even that proved too difficult as self catering accommodation is at a premium, but I'm sure Warwick will be lovely. And of course it's well within striking distance of Cotswold destinations so we should have some great outings.
With all of that in mind I'll probably not have much time to pop in and see what the community is up to, but our lovely sassy59 will be around for anyone who needs help.
I'm away from Sunday 6th to Sunday 13th so normal service will be resumed then.
I hope everyone stays well and safe in the meantime and see you when I get back!
You have a wonderful break with your family Callendersgal and enjoy yourself. You always have just the right words for everyone and show nothing but kindness to all.
Iβll try my best to fill your shoes for a week and want everyone to know Iβm here for them.
Have a great weekend all and a special week dear Callendersgal with decent weather.
Thanks so much sassy59. I'm going to give enjoying myself a good shot! Take care and I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job of looking after the community. Take care and have a good week! ππππΈ xxx
Hope you have a good holiday & the weather is kind to you & its a relative ly stress free one
Ive been a bit bored all week - gotten a little bike riding in though - this morning (friday 4th) I finally got to go horseriding - to go out for a ride with a member of staff at the stables after they cancelled 2 sessions due to bad weather & a pony club
I hope you have a lovely well deserved break. There are some beautiful places in this country and if you are anything like us, we just put our waterproofs on and carry on regardless if the weather is wet. Even our dog has his waterproof coat!
Thanks so much Helen. Yes, there's no point in being put off by rain. We are waterproof and with an extra waterproof layer on top, it's good to just carry on regardless, as you say. I love holidaying here in Great Britain and also in Ireland. Having lived so long outside of UK there's plenty here for me still to explore! It's good just to be together with family too and we always have a lot of fun. πππ
Hi daveh121, Thanks very much for your good wishes! Yes, local vacations (or staycations) can be surprisingly interesting, especially if you approach them with enthusiasm. Nearly all places have a few lovely surprises in store.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to UK. And even found it charming! It's home for me of course, but I still find, (maybe through biasπ) that it's an OK place to be!
