I've got a culinary plea for you today. Can anyone help me with some new ideas for cooking salmon?
My husband Arlington's done a great job of the shopping throughout lockdown, saving me the stress of trying to shop online or go out and shop myself. He's really quite good at it, though of course I've had some surprises, (and some better than others.)
But he does seem to have a little bit of a 'thing' for bringing home salmon fillets. And it's not my favourite fish to be honest. So I tend to ignore it for ages, but now there's a bit of a salmon takeover going on in my freezer.
I usually opt for teriyaki salmon when I do cook it, but I am absolutely sick of the sight of it.
Does anyone out there have any tasty recipes I could try for a bit of a change?
In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming weekend, as best you can and all please continue to stay safe and well. π
I sometimes bake my salmon in foil with a little pesto over the top or pan fry and use a lemon dressing or some herbs. I love salmon and try to keep it simple generally.
Hope that helps Callendersgal and well done to your husband for doing the shopping.
Lovely idea sassy59 and definitely one I hadn't thought of. I can definitely give that a try. It sounds yummy! I see both yours and bantam12's suggestions use foil which must keep the salmon nice and moist. Great suggestion. Thanks very much. I hope you have a good weekend too! xxxπππππ
We had salmon last night, I always dob it with butter, season with pepper and herbs and put slices of lemon on top then loosely wrap in foil and cook in the oven. Salad and new potatoes π
That sounds simple and delicious bantam12. I do love trouble-free! So I shall try this out including the new potatoes which I love and a nice salad! Thanks so much! ππΊππ
That sounds really interesting Sara_2611. I've long been a fan of lemon juice in all sorts of dishes, but I haven't tried much with orange. Sounds as if it's time for an experiment! ππ
