Hello and welcome to Feel Good Friday,

Here in the UK the weather has certainly been mixed with lots of rain but also some fine sunny days. Still autumn is in full flow and it’s very nice to see all the beautiful colours

How has your week been? As another week comes to an end we can look back at what may have been some difficulties and challenges or maybe a better week where the highlights have been good. Perhaps you can share either of these with us.

Hope you have a good weekend

With best wishes,

Hi MAS_Nurse,

We've really had the works with changeable weather here in the south-east this week. It culminated last night with thunder and lightning. All that's been missing in the list is snow and frost!

I really love this time of the year with its chill in the air and, as you said, the beautiful array of colours and that autumnal smell in the air. It's time once again for soups and stews, early pyjamas with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate.

But it's probably easy for me to enjoy the season because, at least for now, I'm still in relative good health but I'm mindful that lots of us, and those they care for, can experience problems with things like earlier darkness. It's a certainty that whatever the season, we'll always have challenges.

I've had a peaceful week, concentrating on my meditation practice which had lapsed quite a bit in recent times. So this week I've got up extra early and set aside an hour every single morning to just sit and be, in the current moment. It's never easy to make time, and too easy to make excuses, and amazing how many interruptions there can be, whether it's a loud noise outside or an unexpected knock on the door. But I've stuck with it and feel better for it. I hope that everyone else has also found their own way of making at least a few small breaks from all that has to be done. Because it's so important to look after yourself as well as those you care for.

And with that in mind, I hope everyone manages some kind of a break during this coming weekend to recharge the batteries.

Another wet and windy week with some sunshine but not much. I do love the colours of autumn though.

Pete is doing well and I’m determined to keep him that way. We’re off to get some shopping soon and hoping not to get wet.

Wishing you and everyone else in this supportive site a great weekend.

Like Callendersgal says, it’s good to have some “me” time if at all possible. Take care all. Xxxx

I'm just coming back to earth from planet wedding, I've looked at the pictures every day since it happened, I've just been doing the ironing and had a brainwave, does anyone think it's possible to have my corsage replicated using artificial flowers, if so who could do it for me, all suggestions welcome, hope everyone has a good and dry weekend x

Hi Jennymary,

It's so lovely that you are happily recalling your recent family wedding. I've never heard of anyone replicating a fresh flower corsage with artificial ones, but I guess it's a case of 'never say never' and it couldn't harm to ask around, particularly with a local florist if you have one (they seem to be a rare breed in some areas these days).

On the other hand, I don't think that even the best artificial flowers can really replicate the glorious beauty of fresh ones. Maybe it would be easier to just settle for the memory of its happy associations, and your photographs of the wedding.

Hello Jennymary, it is so lovely to recall the happy event, and photos certainly go some way to helping you remember in the future. It gives us such a warm glow doesn't it? and helps us over the difficult times.

As a hobby I replicate and create artificial bouquets', corsages', and even wreaths - however I have to stress it is only a hobby of mine and I have done it for friends and relatives in the past with great results. What was in your corsage by the way?

I don't know of anyone who would do it as a business, you could try the internet by using a search engine.

Take care and do let us all know how you get on in your quest.

Best wishes, one of the -

Morning everyone,

Well we did manage another break and that went well but I think these city breaks are a bit beyond me now. I found all the walking very tiring. That along with making sure my husband is ok and coping but what a relief to get away from the routine.

At home I have bought a new bed. It is very wide and very high 😁 feel I need clampons to get out of it. Beds are so expensive these days but needs must.

Christmas is fast approaching so thinking of gifts for the younger family. Slight dilemma here as my elderly neighborcame to lunch last year but going out with my Daughter this year so don't know what to do apart from invite her in in the morning. I don't like to think of her alone. I will have to work something out.

Have a good week.
