Went to my God daughter's wedding last Sunday, the weather held, dry, no wind, the ceremony itself was very intimate just people important to the bride and groom, with no hymns or prayers,, just a couple of readings by their friends the ceremony was held at the edge of the woods, so through a muddyish track to get there, but well worth it, as I said last week sadly the bride lost her grandfather in the weeks leading up to the day and the groom also lost 2 great uncles, so in their honour a plaque was put up, and I've put a picture up of it, and I find the wordings very poignant

Hi Jennymary,
Thanks so much for coming back to share with us your recent attendance at your goddaughter's wedding. I remember your posting previously that, to an extent, the day would be a little sad too, given that her grandfather had recently died.
I'm so pleased that those present had a wonderful day and that you all felt that the newly departed were there with you all to celebrate.
Life does always have to keep moving forward through happiness and sorrow, but it's wonderful to include those who we can no longer see, but remain with us in our hearts.
Very best wishes and once again, thanks for sharing this.
