Hello Everyone and welcome to Feelgood Friday. How has your week been? Please share with us any high spots and low ones. We would love to hear how you have all been this week. The weather has been beautiful and I have enjoyed going for a drive in the countryside and having dinner outside. I have found an inspirational quote that I would like to share with you all.
"Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything, or to do anything in particular, but just to let us feel that we are cared for and supported."

Hi, I’ve been nursing a sore toe due to total nail removal. Been enjoying the lovely weather and a bbq with our son and family last Sunday. Petes keeping well which is good.
I've had a good week, nice day out in the sun with friends doing some retail therapy, blood pressure down to acceptable limits, no kidney issues, couple of down sides brought a new watch Monday at M&S, set the time when I got home, it hasn't worked since, did an online chat with an advisor last night who didn't know if there's even a battery in the watch, luckily I've got a branch a short bus ride away so off to sort that next week, was going to get my new glasses today but dark cold and windy here today so again sort that next week, but the biggest shock/upset of the week came Tuesday evening when I had a phone call from my ex manager who hadn't bothered to contact me in the 18/12 since I worked with her, she wondered how I was and I told her she'd left it 18/12 too late and not to contact me again, hope everyone has a nice weekend xxx
Dad is finally out of hospital after six weeks. He is having intravenous antibiotics in the Home for a further week and then two weeks of oral antibiotics. I'm unsure what to do now. Dad hated being in hospital and the infections he keeps getting are difficult to control. I talked to the consultant about palliative care and have spoken to dad's GP today on the phone who says it's my decision. Trouble is when I talk to dad about it he doesn't say he doesn't want to return hospital now. I don't know what to do.
To add to everything my husband has a bad UTI and, of course, we are away from home, supposed to be going away on holiday today which has now had to be cancelled.
Hi Kir31, I am sorry to hear things are still so difficult for you. You may like to wait and see how your Dad is following his intravenous antibiotics and oral antibiotics and you can review the situation then. This may be an option. I hope your husband will soon be feeling better. I am sorry to hear you have needed to cancel your holiday. This must have been disappointing for you both. Look after yourselves and I hope your Dad's treatment is successful. There will be another opportunity for you to enjoy a holiday. Take care and best wishes.
Dad was in hospital for six weeks on intravenous antibiotics and oral. Apart from other health issues his infection markers start to rise every time he goes onto oral antibiotics. The nurses at different times thought he might die and told me to talk to the Home and GP about palliative care so dad didn't need to keep being readmitted. I was going to do this but now he's back at the Home and brighter I don't know what to do. It is my decision apparently.
