Welcome to this week's 'Feelgood Friday'. How was your week?
For my six pence worth I woke up this morning and decided that today is going to be a no rush day. And probably just as well since my internet appears to have decided that it likes the idea too! I do sometimes wonder if all these stories we’re reading about artificial intelligence are really true and that machines have already got a mind of their own!
I think that today I’ll just go with the flow and see what the day brings. I’ll start by making a coffee and try not to make a to do list.
How do you all try and slow the day down and give yourselves a little me time? Sometimes we all need that little bit of time for ourselves.
Best wishes and have a good weekend.

Have a good weekend😀
Hi MAS_Nurse,
I think it's a great idea to actively remember to slow down when you have a busy life and I hope you enjoyed your day with no clear plan. I'm lucky that nowadays my time is much more my own and I can pick and choose when to be busy and when not.
But I did have a very slow time thrust upon me this week when I got a dreadful bout of laryngitis and ended up with no voice at all. (I can almost hear the rousing chorus of cheers from those who think I talk too much!)
On the road to recovery now, I'm happy to say, as I've been silent for far too long.
I try to have time at our local swimming pool in the steam room. It really helps me to relax and I just sit and try to clear my head. I set aside time each week on a Friday to set me up for the weekend. I wish everyone a lovely weekend and although it's hard when you are a carer, please try to have some time to yourself. xx
Thank you MAS Nurse. Not bad week here. Mom had good and bad days with eating, and yesterday had to resort to syringe again to get her to eat soup! Now got nasty pressure sore on one ankle but put honey dressing on last night and nurses visiting Monday. Highlight of week was mom saying hello in reply to my hello! Priceless. My downtime is my cross stitching. I have anxiety issues, especially in winter, and this chills me out, plus I have something to show for it and make family Christmas cards. To all busy and stressed carers, have a good weekend. Am thinking of you.
