Welcome to you Gingerwhinger. No your son cannot claim both but should claim for carers Allowance which he won’t get, yet he may be able to get something within ESA. Check online for more details.

Hope that helps. Xxx

Could be eligible for carers premium within ESA. Xx

HI Gingerwhinger,

I can't really help with your query as I'm not au fait with current benefits and how to get them, but I see you've already had some advice from sassy59.

Like sassy59 I'm one of the group's ambassadors, so just wanted to wish you a warm welcome to the Care Community and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Best wishes.

Hi there,

Welcome to our supportive community. In respect of the rules surrounding UK Benefits, do check out the Pinned Post section as there is a lot of useful information about Carer's Allowance written by one of the CC experts. Also, have a chat with your local Citizens Advice Bureau who give free, impartial advice, and have a lot of useful Benefits information: citizensadvice.org.uk/benef...

Hope this helps. Do let us know how you get on.

Best wishes,

MAS Nurse
