how are we fixed as regards the new social care council tax increase ,we are

both near 70,and care for my wifes father,93 surely it wo affect us??

Maybe have a look at the council web site, or maybe phone them, hopefully someone else will one this forum and knows the answer that you seek.

You should check with your local Council to see if you are eligible for help with your Council Tax bill. I would in fact suggest contacting your local Age UK for a benefits check to ensure you are receiving all the benefits to which you are entitled.
