TY Noella. I feel like a wet dish rag. We knew one another 64 years and were together all of that time.

Audrey, I can't find your post for some odd reason. Maybe others can't either? I can understand from the replies to you that you have lost your dear husband. I am so truly sorry. You have been the epitomy of what love is about. I don't know how you have coped to be honest but you did. He was so unlucky like all of our loved ones to be stricken with this awful condition. However he was truly lucky to have such a great wife.

He is in a better place now. No doubt looking down on you. I think when a soul passes they look after you and are with you until they know you can cope. He will be there when you feel lost and lonely. God Bless you Audrey. Lots of love and a big hug to you. I hope you have support from family and friends? Don't forget your friends here too as we will always be here for you. You are such a special part of our group. I am so very upset for you as I know how much you loved your husband. So did he and that is even more important?

Marie_14, I agree he is looking down on me and watching me along with our daughter. Unfortunately not a lot of family or friends to help me. Called the VA crisis dept and they are going to have someone call me to try and help. I need it so badly, We were together 64 years, a lifetime. Thank you for your wonderful caring thoughts and words,

Audrey xoxo

I know what it's like to have nobody to turn to too. I do have a son and daughter but both are working and my daughter has a little boy to take care of as well. So I am depending on a couple of friends to take me to visit my husband as I don't drive. It means I can only seem him 3 times a week and it is really upsetting me.

So I know the feeling of being lost and needing someone. 64 years is really something. What a love story Audrey. You should be very proud of yourself and your dear husband.

He was in the armed forces? So was my husband but we live in the UK and the organisation's that exist help only if you are in financial difficulty and need to buy some equipment or something like that. They do help people who have just come put of the forces but sadly we don't fall into that category of course!

I hope you get the help that you need so much. Please don't forget we are always here when things get you down. You and so many others who have lost loved ones recently are the heart and soul of the group to be honest.

Much love to you, and a great big hug (((HUG))).

Thank you Marie He was in the army. I called the VA and they have a crisis line, 24/7 so if I feel I need to talk to someone I can call them and pour my heart out. I have to wait for the death certificate to get anything done. I know I will get a death benefit but because he didn't serve during war time there are no pensions of any sort.

Love back and thank you for the great big hug ((Marie)). That is how I give virtual hugs with the persons name.

Hello Audrey, So sorry for your loss, 64 years is a lifetime, in fact longer that I have been alive - cherish those 64 years, as I'm more than sure he is looking down on you both. Contact your local Age Concern (Age UK) branch as they will certainly be able to help, even if just to chat with you, but they do offer a wide range of services. Big hugs xxx
