Cortisone and acne?

Hi guys!

So I'm sure all of us here are really familiar with taking cortisone thanks to our bronchiectasis. I wanted to ask if any of you have found a link between cortisone and acne? If so, how do you cope with it?

I am 27 and have never had problem skin. I was diagnosed last year and have been on cortisone (tablets, intravenous and inhaled) for much of the time since then. Within about a month of starting my skin broke out, especially around my chin and between my eyes.

I have a very strict skincare regime and have changed contraceptive pill a number of times but to no avail. Even a break of several months from the cortisone didn't help, although I believe it stays in your system for a long time.

Any advice would be great! Not sure if seeing a dermatologist would help but trying to avoid as my medical aid won't cover it!
