Hello

This is a question that your own health care professional is best placed to answer, as only they have access to your medical records.

We suggest talking this through with your own doctor or health care professional in the first instance.

Best wishes

I was started on carvedilol after a massive bleed from a stomal varix. It has certainly helped reduce the frequency and severity of the bleeds I was getting. I am currently on 18.75mg twice a day, so getting near the maximum of 25mg twice a day.

Can't say I have noticed many side effects other than putting on some weight. Worth discussing with your hepatologist if the side effects are an issue rather than just stopping, as suddenly stopping any medication can be an issue if you have been on it for more than a few days.
