Bizarre Ultasound results.

Why does it always have to be odd for me lol

Had my 4 monthly scan at my local cottage hospital instead of main hospital 45 mins away as usual.

She didn't do any of the roll on your side, hold your breath etc and it was finished and out in five minutes.

What a surprise it came back she could only see half of my liver - no s**t Sherlock, try moving the probe more than 2 inches.

Got an MRI booked before I see my consult and on a 4 monthly MRI program. No way I want that many, so hoping to convince her to just have a US back at the main hospital again.

MRIs themselves don't bother me at all apart from not being able to take my morning meds in full. One of them requires a meal with it. The others I can wing it with.

So, yeah that's where I'm at on monitoring

I had a similar experience a few months ago Rita, in the local Drs surgery. It took him all of 2 mins with the probe, I said does it all look ok? is it still very fatty? he said "it is what it is to me" and sent me on my way!....what the hell does that mean? The man was a tool in my opinion.... In future I will always go to hospital for them, it usually takes a good 10-15 mins there and they at least have a proper look and dig around. Xxxx

At the main hospital it's always the same woman and she tells us What s changed in general and always let's us know big things like the portal vein - I know she's not supposed to but I'm grateful for it.

The local hospital I could have got clearer results with a yoghurt pot tied to an iPad

Hi mrsmerlin,

I wish more of my husband's techs would answer questions. Most of us are aware of what is going on and just want a head's up.

It does make one wonder when a tech is not doing the regular things what their training was like, though. Ah well. We will keep an eye out for the rest of your liver - although if you are in the UK do you think it might have taken trip here to the US?

It was mad. In all of my scans I have never had one where she moved the probe about an inch below my bottom rib and the same above, in little circles. Missed my liver no idea where she thought my spleen and kidneys were 😅😢 both of which i have to have scanned .....perhaps I'm a cyborg

I found your missing liver!! It’s at Waitrose. Buy one get one free!! Lol! I wish. That would make things so much easier. Don’t get the chopped up liver though! It’s a bugger to stich back together.

Lol I get deliveries from Sainsbury's so I'll look out for it, see if it's been handed in as list as well. You just can't trust the meat from supermarkets you know.

As for the smiles I just use the ones on my phone keyboard- can't remember how I did it on the laptop. There's a box at bottom left on my screen that changes to the symbol screen. When i hit that a little face pops up next to it and that takes me to the emotes.

I'm not very good at these technical explanations but it's hard to think when someone's putting your liver into a pie and feeding the rest to their cat! We live in a small rural town so spoiled by local meat

I think there's a list of codes tga t work but don't know so don't shoot me if I'm wrong 👩‍🌾
