Hello members, Just discharged from ER here in USA. I was experiencing little hand tremors and little balance issue while walking or standing. ER doctor performed ammonia test which came with number 15. So what does it mean. I was diagnosed with Compensated Cirrhosis 4 months ago with very mild esophagus varices, grade 1. No treatment provided for this finding. My blood work for the last 4 months is like, several times blood work was performed.

Alt between 30 and 40

Ast between 45 to 70

Ggt is 50

Sodium between 134 to 135

Bilirubin between 3.0 to 3.5

Albumin between 3.2 to 3.4

INR 1.3 to 1.4

Alp between 99 to 135

PT between 13.1 to one time 19.0

Platelets between 54000 to 70000

No ascites,no pain whatsoever any where, insomnia is persistent. I can't sleep more than 3 to 4 hrs. No fatigue, mildly enlarged spleen So I have few questions asking myself,

1.Do I have HE?

2. Once you diagnosed with Alcohol related compensated cirrhosis, will my blood work ever improve?

3. What stage of Cirrhosis,I am in?

4. Is it gonna get worse, how soon and how fast?

5.what causes muscle twitching?

If anyone been through my kind of a journey will they provide me some knowledge. Any suggestions what to do?

It's very hard to get an appointment from hepatologist, here in USA.

Any word about my journey greatly appreciated from my heart.I have two kids 13 and 11. I am sober not in mood to touch alcohol again.

Hi, I am USA too, find a hept (liver doc) and ask him or her the questions you posted, they are very good questions, also, did they tell you the cause of your cirrhosis?
