My partner has been struggling with eating all he is supposed to be, like many on here.
I just wanted to share my absolute delight of making a macaroni cheese and he went back for a second helping. Albeit small helpings, but I am absolutely delighted with this progress.
Sorry to bore you. But I an elated.

It is extremely tough for both of you but it will be worth it. I get impatient with my own recovery but it does take time to heal . Like most people agree it took along time to get so poorly and it's learning how to lead a new life
Hey that's great news, baby steps are the way forward, I was in a terrible condition when I was in the height of my drinking days, food was the least of my concern, I didn't really eat, and I was so thin I could hear my heart thumping through my boney body,it was a slow process trying to introduce food back into my system. Obviously I dunno if your fella is allowed certain foods, I'm 12+ years sober and I think things have probably changed since I gave up the demon brew, I wasn't a massive eater, and when I started with food I just picked at things, try not to stick to meal times, I would start cooking ( again ) at stupid " o" clock, and my appetite started to kick in, obviously your stomach shrinks when drinking and even looking at food would make me gag, get anything in that your man fancies, if allowed of course, and perhaps a dietician involved, I never had that support regardingfoodwheni was , I'm now at least 4 stone heavier, but not massively over weight , my biggest vice is chocolate bars, cakes and full fat Coca-Cola 😉 but I do eat healthy foods, the mindset is that the body was starved of vital nutrition during weeks of drinking, and the brain doesn't want to starve of sugary items, yes I've substituted my bad habits for a sugar rush, but it's better than drinking and not eating, I hope your fella keeps on the right tracks, best of luck ❤️
