Feaking out: Liver Firbrosis Blood Work
11/23 FibroScan Score: 4.9 kPa CAP Score: 280 dB/m Doctor note: The FibroScan Score is reliable and consistent with liver scarring at a Metavir Stage F0-1, consistent with minimal to no fibrosis. (have had three previous fibroscans with similar results).
Just had a Liver Fibrosis Blood Panel done: Fibrosis score is 0.85 indicating severe fribrosis. What a contradiction. AST is fine, ALT slightly elevated (45). Bilirubin high but could be due to my hereditary spherocytosis (a type of anemia).
Chatgpt says to trust a fibroscan more than the blood panel but this is weird-anyone else ever see a contradiction like this? Thanks! Fyi my doctor simply says it's a weird result let's do a biopsy...can't get another fibroscan until mid September.
