I have liver fibrosis after having hepatitis c. I got the hep c through contaminated blood products namely factor 8.
I am suffering from pain under my right breast, which may be gallbladder issues. The Doctor told me it can't be liver pain as the liver has no nerves therefor can't get pain there. This I think is untrue, just wanted to ask if the liver can cause pain.

The liver doesn't have nerve endings and you can't technically have liver pain.
However, the liver is enclosed in a membrane called the Glisson's Capsule and if the liver is enlarged/inflamed then the membrane can stretch and this can cause liver area pain. An enlarged liver can also impinge on neighbouring organs too and can cause pains.
Obviously there are other organs in the same area (including the gall bladder) and issues there can cause aches and niggles.
I am assuming that your Hepatitis C has been treated. Do you receive regular scans as is the protocol for some of the more recent Hep C treatments just to keep an eye on whether fibrosis has progressed or indeed that nothing else untoward is going on.
Yes I cleared hep c in 2015 with harvoni treatment. I was discharged from the liver unit in 2016 they said they didn't need to see me again. That was my last fibroscan. I have had ultrasound scans done for this awful pain. I am still waiting to speak to a Dr about the latest results. I need an explanation as to why my blood test came back abnormal. The receptionist told me I had been referred to the surgeon.
What your fibroscan score was/is? I've been cured in 2017, genotype 3a. Liver stiffness was 9.1 kpa (F2) at end of therap (daklatasvir/sofo, 12 weeks) after a year or so it regressed back to normal range, FO/F1. Keep it in check in some months.
My fibroscan result in 2009 was normal at 4,- 6 years later i had another fibroscan before starting treatment with harvoni it had gone to 8.6. They diagnosed fibrosis. I cleared the virus. I was discharged from the liver unit in 2016. I have had ultrasound scan's done for this pain under my right breast recently. The Dr is proving hard to get hold of to get the result of my last ultrasound. My blood test came back abnormal, which I need an explanation for. I had genotype 1a. The viral load was two million
