Liver Biopsy...Awaiting Results.

Hi everyone,

I had a Biopsy taken 2 weeks ago, during which they found a lesion on my left liver lobe.

I've been advised it's 2 weeks for the results, however i have heard nothing.

I cannot get through to my consultants receptionist as it rings once and goes straight to voicemail.

Can anyone advise on where to go from here? It's causing me huge anxiety.

Have you tried to email l could never get in touch by phone when l was ill but always got a reply on email

The anxiety is the worst. With my insurance here in the US. , we usually get our results posted on our insurance portal prett quickly. But a biopsy I would think would take longer. Hang in there and prey for the best. Im praying for you also.

Ask your GP to chase up your results. Might be worth a try??

You could try going through on the main Hepatology Line on Hospital Website, or through the Switchboard.

All hospitals have PALS (Patient Liaison) if you are not getting anywhere and they will try to get you an answer.

I've spoken with the secretary she says she will chase Histopathology.

Just seems so long to wait!
