morning all

just to say thank you for all the replies to my last post. I felt enough courage yesterday to finally ask to be changed to a different consultant and actually made a formal complaint not just for me but for all of his other patients too.

I did that with my consultant and it’s the best thing I’ve done, apparently it’s called Murphy’s Law and you don’t have to justify it just ask to see another consultant. All the best

I think you mean Martha's rule, the right to seak a second opinion, it's only just been implemented and only in a few hospitals.

Well Done some of the consultants think they are God almighty and look at you down there nose not all my I say but you don't need to feel abused at a hospital appointment and explain to your next consultant how the last one made you feel hopefully he is a better person goodluck

Well done! Sometimes we have to advocate for ourselves. I hope you get to see a consultant who will give you the support you need and excellent ongoing care. There are good ones out there

If you ask your new consultant about life expectancy they will reply the same 2 to 15 years as your last one said. It's the standard reply and about the same as the reply to the question how long is a piece of string?

Nobody knows the future and only you know how well your going to treat your liver!

Not what you're looking for?
