pale stool after yellow diarrhea

I’ve been high anxiety googling why pale stool for a couple days now following bout of yellowish diarrhea.

anyone had this symptom? going to quit alcohol for good (I’ve gone years at times other 10 months, others a few…) baffling why I put myself through this worry and multiple times now. After a few weeks of no alcohol will have labs run for liver etc. but curious if anyone had pale stool after diarrhea and how long it took to get back to brown regular poop with no alcohol and healthy foods (not a problem for me) just dehydration and alcohol were.

thanks for any replies!

If your liver isn’t functioning it blocks the bile ducts making your stool pale or yellow. If your iron is very dark as well you need to check your liver enzymes and stop alcohol at least until you get results. I know that sucks but trust me you don’t want to get really sick. I hope it’s just an intestinal infection of some sort. Good luck, hope you’re okay.
