high temperatures?

Diagnosed with AIH in 2018, only real symptom was terrible fatigue. Fibrosis 5-6 but compensated. On Mycophenolate still, pred for 4 years, now discontinued. Generally well until 3weeks ago, I got a kidney infection after a UTI. One IV dose of antibiotics and 3 oral doses later. I feel back to normal but my temperature won’t go down, 37-5* - 38.5*. I don’t know what my normal temperature is and as one of many liver functions is influencing body temperature, do we generally run higher than people without liver disease? I would really value people’s experience. Thank you.

Poster just means they've stopped taking these particular meds not that the medications have been discontinued.

Hello, sorry I wasn’t clear. I was on large doses of Prednisolone once diagnosed and stayed on it for almost 4 years. Eventually the dose was slowly reduced and finally stopped. I had no issues after stopping taking the Prednisolone. My concern now is my raised temperature and can that be the norm for people with liver disease? Thank you. Deb.

Hi was diagnosed at roughly the same time as yourself and have been the same medication. My diagnosis came a bit later than yours and I already had cirrhosis. Compensated and like yourself I suffer with fatigue when well. Recently I had an operation and ended up with a uti and sepsis. My temperature shot up along with other problems this infection causes. I was very lucky my symptoms were mild but my temperature was (towards the end of my recovery ) the most stubborn to control. The hospital wouldn’t let me go home until it was back to 37 degrees. Not sure if this reply helps. I can’t comment medically but they told me that the high temp was part of the infection. Hope you find the answer. All the best
