Hope you all are doing better. I had a routine blood test a month ago and my LFTs were slightly elevated, Alt was 52, Alp was 122 and Ggt was 71. Ast was normal at 35 according to the lab.
Other things such as Albumin(42) Globulin(29) Total protien, kindey function, platelets (333), billirubin (15) were all normal. Cholesterol was also slightly elevated.
Are these numbers suggestive of Cirohsis? Because I just recently noticed that when my hands are elevated above my abdomen, and at certain angles, my finger nails appear exactly like Terry's Nails but as soon as I lower them and relax the muscles they appear completely normal.
My question is, is it bcz I am developing terrys nails or do I already have terrys nails or since they come back to normal full pink color when I lower my hand, is suggestive of other blood flow issue thats not related to Cirohsis?
Your help will be much appreciated, Thanks 😊

Sounds like a circulatory issue in the Terry's Nails.
Can you request a scan of your liver (fibroscan or ultrasound) or repeat bloods in a few weeks. Your numbers are not greatly elevated.
Do you have any known risk factors for potential liver disease? If you know that you do then address these before repeating bloods. If there is still a pattern of elevation then seek further tests.
Thanks for the reply, I don't have any known risk factors. However, when I was 13 or 14, I was hospitalised for jaundice, and came out fully recovered. Idont remember the cause of it. But now I'm 28, and just had bloodwork which showed this.
I don't drink alcohol but I eat a lot of sugar etc.
Do Terry's nail do this? Like arent they consistently white and with brown strip? Mine seems more like circulatory nail change that looks like terrys when hands are elevated or in certain position and completely normal when lowerd etc.
Terry's nails isn't something that arises/dissppears with your hand position so unlikely you have TN if it goes away so quickly.Genuine Terry's Nails probably isn't a symptom you'd see in isolation and certainly isn't used to diagnose liver problems.
Could you reduce your sugar intake?
Results might indicate some degree of fatty liver which you can reverse with good, healthy diet and exercise.
Get bloods repeated in a few weeks. They are only barely raised so not at a level where you should be extra worried. See if an improvement in heathy diet helps.
