from my previous posts , you will see I have been suffering from recurrent episodes of billaty colic / cholecystitis/ cholangitis . Have been in hospital for 6 weeks , reverse barrier nursed as I became neutropenic as a result haematologist suggests as a result of chronic gallbladder infection .
Gallbladder successfully removed following complicated laparoscopic procedure as multiple adhesions needed to be divided .
I’m now 6 days post op , been home 4 days and I think I’m recovering well .
LFT’s we’re near normal on discharge , neutrophils we’re improving so no longer neutropenic !
Discharged by Hepto- Billary surgical Team , routine Gastroenterologist review annually and USS twice a year as normal and GP as required .
Life with NAFL / Cirrhosis can be bumpy but I’m so glad to had my much needed surgery.
Looking forward … I have retired , so have removed the stress of anxiety if I don’t feel well enough to cope with work .
I’m read regularly with interest other group members posts but don’t always feel I have a lot to add to the advice and support shared .
Wishing you all a very early Merry Christmas , because I feel I can now begin to look forward to a special time with family and my gang of very special friends
Xx
