Afternoon all. You'll be getting sick of hearing about my updates but it helps me clear the mind.
Some of you might remember i ended up in the hospital after a bleed and had some bands fitted.
That was 3 weeks or so ago and i was at the hospital on Wednesday this week to get another scope to check all was well.
Long story short, after sitting for 3 hours with a canular in they told me that there had been a mix up and i had been sent to the wrong clinic. So i await another date which will no doubt fall just before Christmas! Annoying but there you go.
Fast forward to today and i had my regular consultant visit, i was really nervous but i'm over the moon to say that everything is going really well. Liver function continues to improve and he changed his language somewhat by saying that my liver can improve even further. Although the cirrohsis and scarring are not going anywhere anytime soon i can still benefit from improved functionality.
Lost a couple of KG's as well but that might just be due to worry. We'll see.
Anyway - wee update, the family are relived, me even more so and i don't need to go back for another 6 months. I can now firm up my long range plans with more certainty than before.

The traditional poem by Robert Burns. It's typically recited before slicing into the haggis during a burns night event, held every 25th of January. Rabbies birthday.
Haggis the next best thing to a Scotch, but I didnae say that. 😜
The Keys, fantastic! If you can I suggest a little trip snorkling - even if you only do 5 mins. Get your family to do more but pls do it - the fish are fantastic! You won’t be deep but can easily stand after. I’m not a good swimmer but did it with my family. The best bit of our Florida trip. We also did Miami, Orlando plus an island off the west coast but that was the bit we all loved the most!
