Hi again all, 5 days ago I posted here with hopes of curing my health related anxiety by having you look at my eyes to give your opinion on if their jaundiced or not. Here are the pictures I posted then for reference m.imgur.com/a/BzfVCUZ
So after everyone told me pretty explicitly that my eyes showed no signs of jaundice, I decided to wait until my gp appointment that was supposed to of been earlier this week.
The problem arose when my go had to reschedule me because of an emergency of his own, so now the appointment is on Friday later this week.
Being the hypochondriac I am, I immediately start checking my eyes again to see if they had yellowed anymore, and, from what I can tell, they have. I’m now here again to post the updated set, and to ask how the onset of jaundice normally is for people.
Do eyes slowly yellow over time? Is it more of a rapid onset?
My urine and stool are both normal colored, and aside from occasional weakness in my extremeties I don’t have any other symptoms associated with problems of jaundice. No pain. Nothing.
Without further ado I will now upload the second batch with hopes that you all can overlook my extreme insensitivity and maybe clear up my anxiety once again.
Hi. I just had a look at both sets of photos and the whites of your eyes appear clear to me. However i am not a doctor and Friday is only a day away so see what your gp says and let them reassure you.
No problem. Post as much as you want here. We are a mostly friendly bunch lol. I jaundice just happened one day. Not over time. You should have nothing to worry about.

Your eyes didn't look jaundiced in your first photo & they don't look jaundiced in your latest photos.

Hi, I had severe jaundice when diagnosed with cirrhosis last year it came overnight my eyes were bright yellow and my skin looked as though I had a bad batch of fake tan on. Yours look fine to me. Ask for a blood test to be sure then you can stop worrying. 🙃
Hi. As all the others have said, your eyes appear not to be jaundice. I am not a dr and would suggest you go and see them as soon as you can. A simple Liver function blood test will test your bilirubin levels. Basically the levels of bile in the blood. I was diagnosed as having Gilbert's Syndrome many years ago which is not harmful but can make your skin and eyes yellow tinged and made worse by stress. I was also diagnosed two years ago with cirrhosis which was unrelated and I was very yellow / brown skinned and yellow all of the sclera (whites of all). Just try to put it into perspective and get the tests done. If you don't you will just become obsessed and stressed. Good luck and keep us informed 👍
What's your bilirubin level at that time when you have jaundice?
