latest labs show high iron

does anyone have high iron due to liver disease? I had a full iron panel done and my serum iron is high normal, but but iron saturation is elevated and my iron binding capacity low.I’ve also had slightly elevated ferritin over the last couple years. I’m being investigated for hemochromatosis per my demand but my hematologist doesn’t think the labs are pointing to that. Regardless of hemochromatosis, My high iron saturation definitely shows I’m iron loading for some reason and I’m concerned that my liver is the culprit in that it’s not metabolizing iron correctly due to cirrhosis.(which I haven’t been diagnosed with but convinced I have). My hepatologist says based on tests I’ve had there is no obvious liver damage but the only way to 💯 know is a biopsy which he does not recommend.
