It seems it is not related to liver.
Post liver transplant, I have had a stent put in between my liver and spleen because the portal vein was apparently narrowed, still not working, this is one of the tests to do with the blood count or something?
Never heard of it. May I ask why you were given that test?
Obvs not necessarily a reflection on your case, but I was picking up those results in the blood tests my liver doc was doing. He referred me to the haematology people. It turns out I have MGUS, which can be a precursor to myeloma.
A kappa or lambda FLC >100mg/L AND free light chain ratio >100 or 8 or <0.1 should be discussed with haematology.
Proteins in the blood score can be indicative of cancer or inflammation/infection
