Is there any such thing? I have what looks like eczema all over. It’s very itchy and small raised bumps, kinda pimple-like. I’ve tried Googling but there’s so much info about rashes and nothing really seems to match what I have. I don’t have elevated bilirubin so I know it’s not from that.
Anyone else have a rash from liver disease and if so what does it look like?

I presume you mean a rash on your skin. You should show it to your doctor (do not post photos on this group). It may have absolutely nothing to do with a liver problem.
I got a rash on my foot, it was red,,swollen and I thought it was from a mosquito bite. It was very itching. That was my first symptoms. Later on I got diarrhoea. I had blood test taken, which included a high Alat. Later on I got the diagnosis AIH.
I am not sure of your question. But I had bloodwork done half a year before the rash, as I had a weight loss probably due to my reaction to a servere tinnitus. I got tinnitus after an Inner Ear middle infection . 🥹 The bloodwork, including Alat was fine. After the rash and diarrhoea, Alat raised . And I was then suspected for having AIH.
I'm James. I came across this thread and couldn't believe what I read. You say you had a possible inner ear infection that caused your tinnitus? Which possibly caused your weight loss? Soon after you got a rash and were diagnosed with auto immune hep? I have so many questions.
I too had some extreme tinnitus before my AIH diagnoses. I also lost 40 lbs in about 4 months. Then came some swelling of my left leg that I had an ulcer on and infection in. Then came the fevers, night sweats and insomnia. I would wake up sweating every night and my lower legs would be red and extremely itchy. I mean extremely red and extremely itchy. Unbearably so. I am still not sleeping the same as a result.
Soon after I was diagnosed with AIH. I was going thru an extremely stressful time with my wife alienating me from my kids during our divorce. I think my entire problem was kicked off by the extreme emotional stress I was going thru. Odd that an inner ear infection and tinnitus were the first things we both experienced before a AIH diagnosis. I wonder if you had any major stressors in your life prior to your experience with your ear infection and tinnitus. If you don't mind sharing more of your story I'd be interested to hear it. I now am very healthy. I always have been into health and fitness but have had some periods of drug and alcohol abuse in my life. I have been living clean and healthy for 25 years. At 53 I have the body of a professional athlete. My palms are bright red and become mottled and blotchy when the weather gets cold. Other than that I have no outward indication that I'm sick.
Yes, I had too a stressfull period up to the onset of tinnitus. I was busy at work and my husband was getting closer to have an kidney transplantation, which worried me.
I had a throat infection and fever, when I went to the ENT to have a syringe done due to a lot of wax in my ears. I wish that she had sent me home , telling me to come back after the throat infection was over.
The syringe gave me earpain and an inner ear middle infection. And the tinnitus.I still cannot pop my ears, the eustacian tubes are closed. My tinnitus sound is still very loud , which is a problem at night. Luckily, I manage my sleep, listening to talking books.
I have read that people often have been through a stressful period, when they get an autoimmune disease. Liver diseases also give signs in the skin.
I have a high frequency hearing loss related to age ,and my tinnitus sound is a low frequency sound, 24/7. That is strange.
After I wrote my story, there has been a new explanation to my tinnitus, which is jaw tightenings. I have started treatment at a physiotherapist. I have tight muscles in my neck and jaw, so hopefully I can get some alleviation.
I think getting tinnitus and an autoimmune disease , has many reasons, not just once. I think I have had an imbalance in body for many years , and the trigger was the ear and throat infection.
