Boils

Hi all

Recently diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis.

I have suffered with boils, just on the underside of my belly, that just won't come to a head to pop. They are really sore. Just waiting to be referred to private dermatologist.

Anyone else suffer similar?

Yes I did have a couple when first diagnosed. I used to put hot flannels on them to draw them. They did eventually break and I had to be ultra careful that they didn’t become infected. I spoke to my GP and he said the liver does a lot to protect from infection so once damaged there is a higher chance of boils occurring. He prescribed antibiotics and they soon cleared up. As my condition has improved through abstinence , exercise and a good diet the boils have gone away.
