Update and no news from hospital

It's been a few weeks now since I embarked on my calorie deficit healthy eating and coffee journey.

I had a birthday in June and I did say bad eating for a week. Well in turned into 2 ½ weeks as I was taken out by friends several times. However, I have now lost 10kg. I am so happy with this progress. It's not like being on a diet at all. I do still have treats but I am eating a lot of salads, good protein, low salt, lowered my fats, carbs and sugar intake, but not cut it out completely.

I got a Dolce Gusto coffee machine for my birthday. Although I am drinking the Starbucks Vanilla Macchiato pods, they are only 77 calories per drink. The coffee is much stronger than I have been drinking, which is great. I have gone from a life long coffee hater at the beginning of May, to someone who very much looks forward to it every day.

As you may recall, my Fibroscan said it could not read as "liver too far back". The nurse who attempted the Fibroscan said the Consutant would write to my Dr. I sent a message to my Dr saying this and asked where we go from there, but he sent a message back saying the Consultant would contact me. That was early June and they haven't even told the Dr officially as of now.

I have never met the Consultant. Does this sound like I should contact the hospital myself?

I have bloods due at the end of August. Am hoping my HbA1c has fallen back to either pre-diabetes or normal levels.

Normally a consultant would send the report out to your GP & a copy to you after 2-3 weeks.

If you haven't got your consultants phone number phone your hospital switchboard & ask to speak to your consultant & you will be put through to the consultants secretary & you can ask if the report has been sent out yet or if a decision has been made.

You definitely need to chase it up.

Well done with your diet 👍

Good luck 😊

Thank you. I will chase it up. It does seem a long time, especially as I got a Fibroscan appointment very quickly.
