headache tablet’s

Hi

I am just doing a covid test as I have a headache for past two days and body aches and I’m freezing cold.

I have cirrhosis of the liver and HE. What headache tablets can I take. Is it just paracetamol

we had this problem when my husband had really high fever. A and E said they had rung and checked with Leeds but gave husband wrong meds. Only found out when i got on the phone to Leeds myself. They did ring, but didnt ask about the meds and didnt do what Leeds had told them re other issues too.Really upsetting. Ring your hepatologist and don't trust anyone else!!!

If it's just headache, get someone to do head massage on you. Really works....

Yes, from an over the counter perspective paracetamol is probably it. If it persists or headaches become a regular problem then speak to your gp as they may be willing to prescribe some codeine in addition.

On the paracetamol front its worth asking at your next specialist clinic how many in 24 hours is best for you. The recommendation on the packet is 8, but I was told to try and limit it to 6.
