I was diagnosed with NALD over a year ago.
Blood tests were saying my Ferritin levels greater than 400 and ALT 61 six months ago.
I was checked for Hemochromatosis which was negative.
Dr said repeat blood tests in 6 months, if ferritin still high then a liver scan would be necessary.
I’ve just had results ferritin , 224 and ALT 21, Over the last 6 months I’ve reduced red meat and vitamin C, upped my exercise, using exercise bike and long walks, I’ve also been taking a Tumeric supplement which I heard was beneficial with Iron overload.
I’ve been discharged from consultant, so feeling very pleased.
Hope this helps anyone who has had similar…
