I was supposed to be having surgery today on my foot. I have a gouty growth which is painful and I can't walk on it. The anaesthetist phoned me on Tuesday saying my bloods showed my kidneys wete struggling. News to me. He said I might not survive an anaesthetic. This is the second time the first being last July when I was actually prepped and in theatre. I feel devastated by this latest revelation. The Orthopedic surgeon has already had a go at terrifying me 3 months ago. I decided to go ahead. At the end of my tether. I have been alcohol free for 3 years now but clearly going to die anyway so whats the point. Gutted.

Welcome to the nhs, I am due to go in today but won’t believe it until I get home tonight. Cancellations seem to be the norm. Good luck
