Hi guys any thoughts on these results.

I know we are all laymen here, but it would be nice to get your thoughts on these test results. Obviously, I'm off to liver service soon. I've had mild flu symptoms for 2 months now.

All other test results were normal and within the range. Obviously, I have just highlighted the below because they are abnormal.

I have fatty liver and early cirrhosis.

Serum ferritin level 508 ng/ml [22 - 275]

Serum iron level 6.7 umol/l [11.6 - 31.3]

Immunoglobulin M level 3.1 g/L [0.5 - 1.9}

Anti-smooth muscle autoantibody level POSITIVE

Serum ferritin level 508 ug/L [22.0 - 275.0]

Serum immunofixation No serum paraprotein detected.

Serum iron level 6.7 umol/L [11.6 - 31.3]

TRANSFERRIN SATURATION 13 %

Has doctor mentioned anaemia? By mild flu like symptoms do you just mean washed out and tired? Your iron levels seem quite low based on the lab ranges you've shown and that would certainly account for feeling like cr*p if you've got anaemia.

What have they said about the positive ASMA result - any indication that they done any tests for auto immune liver disease? Again having an auto immune issue that is being masked by your diagnosis of fatty liver could be another reason for feeling rubbish.

Sounds like you need to have some further tests and chats with your doctor/specialist.

Hi it looks like you have an inflammatory process, your gp will probably want to refer you to the rheumatologist, don’t panic the numbers are not very bad. Good luck
