Hi folks I a question, with liver cirrhosis does anybody have days where they feel rough and other days that aren’t too bad
Days: Hi folks I a question, with liver... - British Liver Trust
Days
Yes, total roller coaster. Hubbies days are split between tired (normal day) where he often still manages to push on and do stuff - like cycling and walking and then totally exhausted days when he is totally drained and it's both a mental and total physical fatigue.
In the early days of his illness he required daily bed rest but now he pushes on through on those 'merely tired' days.

How good for you to write and post on here. There are alsorts of different posts and reasons for them.
All I can say is take each day as it comes, make everyday special as much as you can, if you don't feel like getting up don't, perhaps play some music you enjoy, listening in bed. Perhaps write some thoughts down, remember good, positive times and try to smile or laugh about some things. Enjoy eating whatever you can....and don't share it! (Ooo how selfish..but bugger it.) You go for gold. Read or watch your preference of films, TV, music for positive brain stimulation.
Don't rule yourself out yet, prove them wrong, I forget the time they gave you, but triple it. There are people that can support and help you. Take it. You deserve it, you are allowed.
I know my reply to you, is nit medically professional. But there's life in them boots yet, use it and be brave and strong, each day at a time.
Please do call the helpline as mentioned in other posts from the Trust
I send you big gentle hugs and lots of kindness. Lastly don't stop posting on here as there are so many people here to support you mentally and emotionally. 💞
Take good care 🙂 speak soon 🙂
Hello Tel, I remember some days and you wouldn't even think you was poorly. I also remember going to the hospital with a belly full of ascites fluid (I'd have to ware baggy tops) and me complaining about the pressure build up killing, and the doctor saying yes but you look well. (Grrrrrrrrr, hahahaha) I laugh about it now but not at the time. I also had some really bad days where I collapsed, couldn't get out of bed, guess what is going to wake me up next, a massive hernia that used to get caught (agony).Like what Katie said "total rollercoaster".
I didn't have the forum with half of the things I went through. Use it as much as you can Tel. Many of us have the same thing going on. Kji378 (Flo) has been through the same if not worse. She has an great attitude and likes to sing out of tune (keeps you smiling).
I hope you have more good days then bad and I totally understand, in fact everyone who has/had liver disease will.
Everyone is nice on here and have lots of experiences, from really poorly to needing their day brightening up.
Good luck

Definitely. Most days I get up and walk my dogs 3/4 miles. Other days I struggle to get off the settee and feel wiped out. Before my diagnosis I just put it do getting older (61). I have learned to listen to my body, on the bad days I just do very little and usually feel OK the following day. At the moment I have more good days but I don’t know how long this will be the case. As Kate says, just make the most of every day and try not to let this disease rule your life. Take care.
yes i have good days and bad todays not a good day , feeling rubbish woke up this morning mouth full of blood don,t know what that all about. having biosey on monday need answers even though been diagnosis with liver cirrhosis.
Definitely, and I know what you mean about feeling like a phoney when you’re feeling well, but then I tell myself what I’d tell friends: Don’t feel bad about feeling good - make the most of it! Knowing we have good days is what keeps us all going.
