Afternoon all..Hope your all coping and doing well
So update on Hubby, he has cirrhosis. The dr said he wants to see him again once the results from the camera are done to discuss treatments and any treatment needed if need be for his stomach problems.
Well He was doing so well with sticking to what he can and cant have before he drinks the dreaded stuff , hes due to drink one at 5 tonight and then just fluids all day and then the second lot at 5 am ready for his appointment at 10,40 am.
Sadly hes not going to be able to do any of it. He woke up walked down stairs to get some water, went to walk back up stairs and he was sick every where, up the wall, all up the stairs, he got to the bathroom was sick all in the bathroom as well as the runs, (which started last night). I know what your saying well get him to the hospital, you cant get someone to the hospital who is refusing to go, so hes taken pain killers and just wants to sleep, so i have left him sleep while i took almost an hour to clean it all up.
Ill be ringing the department to let them know he wont be able to get there and then the drs to see what the next step is.
Its exusting and worrying,i actually thought this is it we will now know why hes in so much pain with his lower stomach.
Ill keep you updated..
Take care
Lyn.

Hi Lyn. What an awful time for you both. I hope your hubby manages to get the help he needs. It's horrible for you to have to clean up and keep an eye on him too. I know only too well how tough and messy some days can be. Now he has this diagnosis he should get a plan to move his treatment and care forward. Just make sure you take some time for you too. Sending love and light, K xx
Watching your hubby's story, the attention of some doctors to patients is simply amazing ... They only want to see good blood tests, but they don't see the patient at all. It's a shame that this is happening.
Morning fibro..Yeah i agree, unfortuntaly the drs are so snowed under that they tend to not want to see to the patients who like hubby have an addiction, but wether its an addiction or not they still signed a duty of care to any patient no matter what. Addiction is an aweful thing and is just as damaging as any sickness..😍😍
So update on Hubby.. I rang the department (im saying that because i cant spell colon thingy ha ha)..after 62 times ringing i finally got through. Hes got an appointment now on 24th November, so not too long to wait. The dr did ring back and spoke to hubby, hubby was so rude to the dr, and then to the nurse to sort out more bloods being done. Yes i gave him a right telling off for being so rude. i appologised to the dr and the nurse. The nurse was confused because he went off on one about the number 2 on his phone because he cant work his phone out anymore, had to explain to her that its how his brain and thinking is , he will come out with some confusing things and also too take nothing he says personally. I said to him why are you being so mean to them, he said well someone had to have it and it was either them or you, i said well dont give them shit they are doing their best, give it to me because ill give you as good as you give me. ( I used to always be the quiet one, and would shy away from any hassle but now im like a barbarian wont take no more crap..ha ha ),He had no clue about the conversation when i mentioned it later on in the evening.
So ill keep you posted when hes had the camera ,hopefully he will be ok to get there.
Hope you are all coping and all have a lovely weekend.
Bonfire night tonight, My family are all going to porthcawl to watch the fireworks. Not my thing so will have a cosy night in. Hope you all stay safe..
Morning, hope you are all doing ok and coping. So I got the date of his camera mixed up with bloods appointment.
24th is the bloods...He had an appointment for 14th Nov to have the camera and he couldnt make that one either ,due to sickness and dioareah Fri and Sat..so had to ring the drs yesterday.,.He rang back to speak to hubby. They think its a possibility hes got colon cancer. Thats why they are trying to get him seen ASAP. I swear if it is im going to be kicking off, because they should have tested him a few months ago when he was sent up the hospital by the GP to be admitted to have investigations done , and the consultant said to him it said here you have lost weight, hubby said not really, and the consultant said it dont look like you have to me, (hes never met hubby ever). He laughed and told him its constipation, discharged him the same day with laxatives.
The dr said yesterday he was hoping to get him in as an out patient and then do treatment as an in patient but it looks like they will have to do both as an inpatient. He told hubby to leave it with him and he will sort it out asap.
Im still holding onto the fact it might be something not as serious but a different stomach illness,or connected to his liver. We will see. Hes told his parents but they are sayings its proberly down to his diet.
Will keep you updated.
I dont know how im going to feel if its what they think it is. Trying to stay possitive.
