Morning/aftenoon/evening where ever you all are in the world. How is everyone doing? You all coping? All ready for christmas?

Its a mild one this morning, birds are singing. So had a last few worried days, my grandson whos 9 came down with covid, i looked after him on the sat and my daughter tested him on the sunday because he didnt feel too good. I then had to do a few covid tests over a few days ,all come back negative thank goodness. My daughters came back negative but her husband came back possitive. Ill be staying away for 2 weeks now. I cant risk bringing it back here.

So update on hubby.

He missed his last two hospital appointments to have a camera up due to sickness and diaorreah, Hes got another one to attend monday 20th. Hopfully he will make it.

They are testing him for bowel cancer because hes got all the symptoms, They are doing bloods every 2 weeks which is good because at last they are doing checks on him but only because they are concerned he has cancer, other wise they wouldnt be doing it. I am glad even though its little too late but its showing his liver counts ggt etc are raising all the time, at last its showing in his bloods the true damage of his liver and although that might sound un caring when i say that but for those who have been following my posts, hubby has shown all the signs of cirrhosis for years and up until a few weeks ago (when he was diagnosed with cirrhosis they kept saying his liver is fine). Its so annoying that the only time they start doing regular checks on his blood is when they think hes got cancer. But the main thing is they are now taking his health serious.

Last sat for the first time in years he got up ,looked and sounded really well. I thought it was a turning point for him. He went out to see his friends and have a drink with them (i know drink isnt good but i think deep down he knew sat would be a one off so why not spend it with his friends who he hadnt seen them all together in 5 years and forget about his illnesses, he knew they were testing him for cancer so he thought im feeling well today may as well meet my friends.)He said it was like old times, he really enjoyed himself, no sickness, no tiredness. Was so lovely to see him be so happy. But it was short lived because the next day he was back to sickness, terrible pains being very ill, and continues to be that way.

Ill keep you guys updated when hes had the appointment. Sorry i havent been on here much. Hope your all doing ok.

Take care.

Lyn.

Thanx, it sure does have ups and downs but we should still smile because the moment we stop smiling is when we go down hill, life is too short to have a frown upside down. I watched a video earlier of a missionary that went over to the slums of africa, where orphans are being picked up as young as 5 because either their parents are dead or they have been dumped because they cant afford to feed them anymore, and as i watched them with these kids, and i watched the kids from 5 to 8 years of age, they were all sat there waiting to be handed a cartoon of milk(some thing we take for granted) , not one of them cried, not one of them tried to grab one, they sat waiting their turn and they were all smiling. Just makes us realise here that i know its tough when a loved one is dieing, or has died but we dont want for nothing unless we are greedy, i thought if those little ones and the teachers can smile when they have nothing, but porridge/rice and cartoons of milk then why cant i smile in my situation? and thats why im smiling.

Hi Lyn3, sorry he missed his appointment and I hope you can reschedule it soon. It must be a never ending challenge to manage his energy levels. And it's very thoughtful of you to ask how I am, thank you, Trust10 x
