Worried secretary wont give me results

Very worried got a ct scan done couple of weeks ago finally got through to consultants secretary it was a waste of time said she cant give me results even though the doctor has actioned it and my consultant is of to next week she wont give results out she says funny she give me the results of my first ultrasound I ever got done when it was satisfactory along with my bloods when I said that she says she cant comment on that terrible now I'm realy concerned I'm in work with my head all over the place I feel like just giving up I've been waiting 8 weeks from ultrasound till ct scan since I had to get a second opinion because they said air and gas was blocking the ultrasound and when I finally get through she cant give me results in front of her all I want to know is what's going on feel absolutely sick with it I have to get out of this work to even burnt my arm cant concentrate

Hi Tommy,

Medical secretary's do not usually give out medical test results as it is the duty of the doctor who ordered that to explain the results in the context of the referral.

Your Gp may be able to access the results, can you call them?

She did say that I rang my own gp the secretary says theres nothing there for it yet and if it was the hospital consultant who ordered they havnt got anything I've to ring and book an appointment with my doctor over the phone there booked up for today the secretary says to phone 8.30 in the morning to book one for tomorrow will have to leave it till Wednesday when I'm off not allowed to carry phones with us on floor in work and you have to be free to answer whenever they call I could understand the secretary not giving results if she hadn't of given me my first ones near a year ago thanks for reply appreciate it
