Liver - More Tests?

Morning everyone - I’m a 39 year old, thin, non drinker. Over the past 7 years I have had numerous liver symptoms with little diagnosis. I itch (feet and hands), constant nausea, pain/pressure in liver area, fatigue and pins and needles in legs.

I have had my gallbladder removed, several ultrasounds, fibroscan x 2 (3.5 KPA) and a MRCP. Lots of bloods test, sometimes slightly raised AST.

Question: Do I push for more test or live with it. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Tommy,

Its important to try and get a diagnosis if symptoms persists. It is though worth remembering that there are lots of non liver related issues that can cause the symptoms you describe. So try not to be too narrow with thoughts on what it could be.

You may also need to be patient. The cause may take several years to identify. So dont be a pest with it, but do keep going to try and bottom out the cause when symptoms flare.

Not what you're looking for?
