Liver tests

Hi all...I have recently had liver mri, ultrasound, fibroscan and a single needle percutaneous biopsy....all have come back clear for cirhosis despite ongoing symptoms...has anyone heard of others with the same experience or highly unlikely...thankyou

Hi Ted, not sure what the symptoms are that you have, are you by chance Jaundiced? I ask this because sometimes jaundice may indicate a serious problem with the function of your red blood cells, liver, gallbladder, or pancreas. I sounds as if they are ruling out problems with the liver, and shall be now looking else where.

Hi Richard thanks for the reply....no I’m not jaundiced...just have non specific symptoms such as liver palms, loss of appetite, nausea,dark urine, altered sleep patterns and mild confusion....seem to possibly indicate liver disease although can be something else I’m assuming.....was just curious as to how accurate the tests I have had are.....thanks for replying

It was just a thought Ted, but I guess they have to start somewhere, and a lot of prognosis is done by elimination. So, at least its reassuring to know that they're on the case, and that there's nothing seriously wrong with your liver.

Have you had renal function tests recently Ted?

Hey Ted, might I ask a few things? What are your drinking habits if any? How much water a day do you drink? Do you have any history of anxiety or panic disorder?
