Had my appointment today, fibroscan shows 6.5 kpa and fatty liver but nothing serious which is a relief ! The consultant is arranging an MRI to check bile ducts gallbladder etc due to my symptoms, said if that’s clear then he will arrange a HIDA scan. Also took 11 vials of blood today . Feel like crap but hopefully get some answers soon

Hi Polaris! Yes I was surprised how many too! No idea on what blood tests they’re doing.. two pages of different bloods but didn’t catch what they were. I’ll update back when I get the results 🙂

Hi, looked back at your story. Lost of similarities in symptoms that I have gone through. I’m really happy you had a good fibroscan. I had an ultrasound elastography which showed 7.9 kpa. Having a fibroscan next week. Worries about the results. Hope you get to the bottom of it all soon. Have you still been unwell?

Have you got a diagnosis yet? Yeah I’m still feeling very fatigued, pain in my ribs / back, no energy and really bad brain fog. Good luck with your fibroscan, fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Fatty liver diagnosis with possible F2 fibrosis. Gastroenterologist doesn’t feel I have fibrosis as my bloods have all been in range up until now. My last results showed ALT out of range and has been slowly rising for years. I’m not drinking and eating a very liver friendly diet. Have lost 15kg so she is a bit confused. I’m having further bloods in a month to retest liver function and to test for autoimmune involvement. All of my symptoms have almost gone. I feel great.

Wow! you got a 6.5 on your fiboscan and you had varices, with liver disease that usually mean cirrhosis, What are they saying about your varices?
