Hello all well I got as far as just started with the pre op procedure and then got told the liver wasn’t good so I am home again, feeling a bit depressed but we all know this can happen. Thank you all for your well wishes it stresses the point that we are all not alone, thank you 💕💕💕💕💕💕

It is very hard when that happens! I always tried to think about the donor and their family and hoped that if they had donated other organs they could be used.

I hope you get the call again soon and it will be your time🙏💜

It’s definitely not an easy situation to deal with but try and take some reassurance that receiving an unsuitable liver would cause you major problems, further down the line.

It happened to me too but eventually a good match was found and the transplant has been extremely successful, I will be three years post transplant soon.

Your time will come, soon I hope and you are receiving the best possible care.

Best of luck and good wishes.

Same thing happened to me at Kings - was all ready, then surgeon decided the liver was too big. It's a real wrench when you've psyched yourself up for it and then find yourself at home again. Hang in there - your time will come, hopefully not too far way. It was 2nd time lucky for me - that was over 6 years ago now and all going well.
