Hi there,

I am currently off sick with Pancreatitis and liver problems although I am still undergoing tests. I am wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to rarer causes of raised ALTs. I've looked up what I can on the internet but none of the current listed causes fit in with my specific situation and I am wondering if anyone has heard of other possible conditions that cause high LFTs (liver function tests). I would be interested if anyone has any info on UTIs (urinary tract infections) which I have a long history of, and liver disease that is not specifically related to medication but the illness itself. I believe that there may be a relationship that hasn't yet been investigated mainly because at least 2 out of the 3 times I've been ill I've had UTIs.

Thanking you in advance
