Given that we all here see specialists and do tests, I want to ask you how you deal with liver pain. We can't have painkillers because they aggravate the liver. What do we do while waiting for doctors answer which I can't get any way... according to hundreds of imaging tests and fibroscan I am fine, but I am not. It hurts and I don't know how to deal with it. Lfts are high too.

How do you deal with liver pain?
Hi elenaevent I find the fact that painkillers cant be used with this disease one of the scariest aspects. How about a hot water bottle or a tens machine ?
I hope you find some relief x
Exactly the same. I find hot compress and cold freezing ones to you numb the pain helps.
Ya I find it helps. Just wish I could stop it hurting in the first place.
I also find stretching too helps. I guess I try to move around till the liver feels a space to settle in. God I wish I was normal 🙄
I did lane swimming today. Well I wouldn't say it helped instantly. May be try every day?
A hot compress with, of all things, Castor Oil. Google it, it really works! verywellhealth.com/castor-o....
And of course, adjust your diet and do some daily exercises, yoga stretches or just a brisk walk around your neighbourhood. It takes months for signs of improvement but, I promise, if you stick to a strict schedule, you will definitely feel a difference. Good luck.
What type of pain are you having? What triggers it for you?
How are you these days
Sorry but you don't actually get liver pain. It's everything around it that hurts. So you need to determine whether it's gas, bloated, fluid on the stomach.I usually get ascites fluid buildup which creates pressure inside the stomach and starts to tighten all my organs. The worst is bowel problems. But the diaphragm pushes straight up from your liver to the lungs, causing out of breathness which squashes everything.
I have been prescribed a painkiller called nefropan that totally doesn't effect the liver at all.
You have to check with a consultant first.
I just deal with things head first.
Good luck.
